The T8 is a rapidly deployable, man-portable USV designed for expeditionary maritime operations at home or in forward deployed theatres. Its compact form factor and simple launch capability—from ship, shore, or larger USVs like the T24 and T38—enable flexible deployment in any situation. With an 18 kg payload capacity, the T8 is typically configured for over-the-horizon visual reconnaissance but can be configured in wolf packs for wide area domain awareness.

The T8 redefines tactical maritime reconnaissance for European defence. This man-portable USV is engineered for rapid deployment from any platform—ship, shore, or even nested onboard the T24 and T38 platforms —extending the reach of distributed maritime operations in contested littoral zones. Its low-signature design and shallow draft enable covert operations in complex environments, from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean, providing critical intelligence for anti-smuggling, naval port protection, and critical infrastructure security.

SPEED AND STEALTH

The T8 is designed for dynamic maritime operations, prioritising speed, agility, and robust seakeeping. Its innovative hull form minimises drag and maximises hydrodynamic efficiency, enabling high transit speeds and rapid acceleration. This agility allows for precise navigation in confined spaces and effective pursuit or evasion manoeuvres. The T8’s unique Gator Mode essentially allows the vehicle to partially submerge itself in the water, reducing its visible profile. This makes it much harder to detect visually or by radar, especially in littoral environments like rivers, estuaries, and coastlines.

The T8’s performance characteristics translate directly into enhanced operational capabilities and a greater probability of mission success.
