Q-NAV NAVIGATION

A compact and high-performance hybrid navigation sensor providing accurate and reliable positioning for FLANQ USVs and AUVs, even in GNSS-denied or disrupted environments.

In today’s complex maritime landscape, reliance on satellite navigation systems can be a significant vulnerability. Jamming, spoofing, and other forms of service denial or disruption can severely compromise navigation and mission effectiveness. The Sonardyne SPRINT-Nav Mini payload sensor, from Forcys, provides a robust and independent navigation solution, ensuring accurate positioning and maintaining operational capability for underwater and surface uncrewed vehicles, regardless of external signal availability.

GNSS-INDEPENDENT NAVIGATION

SPRINT-Nav Mini integrates an Attitude and Heading Reference System, Inertial Navigation System (INS) and Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) into a compact, lightweight vehicle instrument. This all-in-one combination provides highly accurate navigation for USVs and AUVs without relying on GNSS signals, ensuring uninterrupted mission execution in environments where jamming or spoofing is known to be occurring. For AUVs, SPRINT-Nav Mini provides exceptional dead reckoning performance, minimising position drift and maintaining accurate track estimations.

GNSS-DENIED NAVIGATION, ANTI-SPOOFING, ENHANCED DEAD RECKONING, SEAMLESS INTEGRATION

ENHANCING MARITIME OPERATIONS

The integration of SPRINT-Nav Mini with FLANQ’s USVs and AUVs, supported by Q-SPINE and Q-MIND, provides a significant advantage in contested maritime environments where GNSS reliance is a liability. This combination enhances mission effectiveness for various defence and security applications, including anti-submarine warfare (ASW), mine countermeasures (MCM), hydrographic surveys, and covert surveillance operations.

SPRINT-Nav Mini ensures accurate and reliable navigation for FLANQ’s unmanned vehicles, even in GNSS-denied or disrupted environments.

FEATURES

1

SAVE SPACE, SAVE COST

SPRINT-Nav Mini replaces the need for separate AHRS, DVL, INS and depth sensors – saving valuable payload space. Plus, it costs less than the four sensors it replaces.

2

FEWER CABLES, FEWER CONNECTORS

The all-in-one design of SPRINT-Nav Mini reduces onboard cabling requirements and connections, reducing the overall points of failure.

3

EASY TO INSTALL AND CONFIGURE

SPRINT-Nav can be quickly fitted to the hull of a USV using FLANQ’s universal Q-Mount system and then configured with a dedicated Q-SPINE module.

4

FIT AND FORGET

SPRINT-Nav is pre-calibrated from the factory meaning you can get to work straightaway. Turn it on, tell it where it is in the worlds, and away you go.
