Developed by FLANQ to enhance the capabilities of uncrewed platforms, Q-KONTROL is a modular hardware platform designed to simplify and accelerate the integration, authentication and control of payload sensors onto uncrewed marine autonomous systems. By utilising sensor-specific modules, a web user interface (UI), power pass-through, and significantly reduced cabling, Q-KONTROL delivers unmatched efficiency, reducing integration time, cost, and complexity. This plug-and-sail approach empowers operators to rapidly adapt their platform capabilities on the frontline to evolving mission requirements.

SENSOR-SPECIFIC MODULES

Q-KONTROL utilises compact, plug-together electronic enclosures, each designed for a specific payload sensor type (e.g., sonar, camera, satcomms). These modules – with integrated touch-screen displays – provide standardised interfaces and power connections, simplifying physical integration and reducing the need for in-field modifications. Q-KONTROL’s modular design enables true plug-and-sail functionality, allowing vehicle maintainers to rapidly swap, add sensors and authenticate sub-systems without specialised tools or expertise. This rapid reconfiguration capability significantly enhances mission flexibility and saves payload space and power budget allowing for greater endurance or more sensors.

SIMPLE WEB UI, AUTO IP SETTING

Q-KONTROL features an intuitive web-based user interface that simplifies configuration, control, and data acquisition from integrated sensors. This user-friendly interface minimises training requirements and allows operators to quickly adapt to different payload configurations. Auto IP setting (or Automatic IP configuration) simplifies sensor configuration by automatically assigning an IP address and other necessary network parameters.
